Pregnancy Care

Emergency signs first

Get care now, during pregnancy or in the year after birth, for: a headache that won’t go away or gets worse, changes in vision, dizziness or fainting, fever of 100.4°F or higher, extreme swelling of hands or face, trouble breathing, chest pain or a fast-beating heart, severe belly pain, severe nausea, the baby moving less, bleeding or fluid leaking, heavy bleeding after birth, a painful swollen leg or arm, overwhelming tiredness. Call your provider or go to Labor and Delivery. Call 911 in an emergency.

Blood pressure 160/110 or higher: call your ob-gyn or midwife right away or go to Labor and Delivery.

Thoughts of harming yourself or your baby: call or text 988, or the Maternal Mental Health Hotline 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262), call or text, 24/7.

Bring this to your visit

Your week, your numbers, the warning signs, and the questions to ask. Everything stays in this browser. Nothing is sent to us or anyone.

Step 1

What you are bringing

Fill in what you know. Leave the rest blank.

Step 2

Questions to ask

Tick the ones you want answered. Two or three is plenty for one visit.

Step 3

Practice saying it

How this works, and what it cannot do
  • The clinician is scripted, not an AI. Every line was written in advance and is not medical advice.
  • A phrase-checker in your browser reads your answer. It is a mirror, not a judge, and can miss a good answer worded differently.
  • Nothing leaves your device. No audio is recorded, no model is called, nothing is sent.
  • Everyone here is invented.
